The Development of the Contextualized Independent Study when Teaching Natural Sciences

This work deals with the development of the contextualized independent study. It was aimed at the elaboration of activities to stimulate the independent study from the social and educative context of the student. Methods such as the historico-logical, analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, participant and non participant observation, and documents analysis were employed. In this sense, it is distinguished its importance in the formation of the students in the current educational context. The research is directed to propose activities for the integral formation of the students from the Natural Sciences and its relation with the contextualized independent study carried out by them. The situation of the problem is verified by means of the diagnostic, which allows corroborating the necessity of activities from different contact points of the Natural Sciences. Starting from the contents, the proposal of activities is conceived to develop the contextualized independent study from the subjects of the Natural Sciences area.
