Abstract

Departing from the application of empirical research methods like interviews, surveys and psychological test, it was detected the problem related to the insufficient motivation towards learning in students diagnosed with Retardation in Psychic Development. For that reason it was determined as the research objective the application of an alternative to stimulate motivation towards learning in students with Retardation in Psychic Development. Based on the diagnosis and taking into account the theoretical assumptions about the definition of learning difficulties and motivation processes, a set of variants aimed at stimulating motivation towards learning in the school context are offered. They can be used at any time in the teaching – learning process, and the effectiveness and appropriateness of its application is been demonstrated by confirming the results obtained after applying the previously proposed variants. These results are derived from a teaching material in a thesis for the academic degree of Master in Sciences of Education.
