The article proposes the notion that both Adult Education syllabuses in Cuba cover fields as diverse as maternal upbringing, systematic school effect on children and young people, learning inside enterprises, the return of adults to the school system, as well as the influence on people of the community, jobs and the media. Therefore, curricular design must meet the needs and educational perspectives of all young and adult people. They also point out that among the four approaches to curricular design, the historic-cultural has been crucial to the Cuban educational project. They analyze the Curriculum for the School Library (2009), of the System of Information for the Education. Finally, they reveal the setbacks and difficulties of this curriculum, consequently making concrete proposals.
