This qualitative study aims to analyze the impact of the Khan Academy platform on academic performance, educational equity, and student motivation in distance education environments through a systematic literature review of studies published between 2013 and 2024. An exhaustive search was conducted in Scielo, SCOPUS, and Google Scholar databases using terms such as "impact of Khan Academy on distance education," "Khan Academy and online learning," and "effects of Khan Academy on academic performance." The methodology consisted of a three-phase document analysis: first, studies not meeting temporal or language criteria were excluded; second, relevant open-access articles were filtered; and third, the methodological quality of selected studies was evaluated. A total of 21 articles were identified, providing a comprehensive overview of the phenomenon. Results and discussion indicate that Khan Academy exerts a significant positive effect on academic performance, while also contributing to educational equity and enhancing motivation in online learning. In conclusion, this analysis underscores the relevance of Khan Academy as an effective pedagogical tool in distance education.
