Abstract
It is presented a synthesis of the life and the professor's work Eduardo Torres-Cuevas, the one that contributes from an important way to the development and consolidation of the culture in Cuba; to the knowledge of the roots, traditions and fights of this town and to the clarification of what means to be Cuban.
