Abstract

In this article an approach of topic that has been controversial for all the authors is made: Martí´s relations with his wife Carmen, and under what circumstances they developed. Carmen, is placed in her epoch and origin of class, emphasiying on how these elements didn´t allow her to love Martí, and to face the limitations she had to suffer together with a man who put in the first place his love for his homeland and then one for his family, but whom she was always faith.
